350 for harassing messages Christopher Charles McGlinn, aged 39, of Annesley Street in Bathurst appeared before Magistrate Michael Allen last week charged with using a carriage service to menace or harass, jimmy choo suede shoes contravening an apprehended violence order, and intimidate to cause fear or harm.
Police facts tendered to the court revealed how the accused and the victim had been in a relationship which ended in 2012, and on February 22, 2012 an apprehended violence order was served on McGlinn. On September 3 last year McGlinn and the accused got involved in an SMS argument and at 4.35pm that day the victim ceased all communication with McGlinn. That afternoon McGlinn sent upwards of 30 text messages to the woman. The content of the messages escalated in their level of abuse and threatening nature. At 4.39pm, McGlinn text the woman: "I can't wait for your surprise, u r [sic] not going to know what to do. there is nothing j choo ltd you can do." Four minutes after he sent a text saying "U should not have called me that, that is the worst thing u jimmy choo flat gold sandals could have said. Contract signed just for you now ya dead [expletive].
" Police said the SMS messages continued in this vein, with the next message saying: "Hope u r [expletive] ready. prepared." Fearing for her safety, the victim contacted police saying she feared the jimmy choo fayme sale accused planned to harm her, and she had concerns for her welfare and the welfare of her children.
